Why it matters

Ceiling details are
structural, not decorative

What separates a ceiling detail that lasts from one that was an afterthought.

Built around your actual ceiling
Existing framing, HVAC, and electrical are accounted for before design begins, not discovered mid-install and worked around badly.
Proportioned to the room
Coffer size, beam spacing, and depth scaled to your ceiling height and room dimensions, not a generic layout dropped in regardless of fit.
Properly anchored
Beams and coffers secured into real structure, not just surface-mounted trim that flexes or separates over time.

Common questions

Before you reach out

Can you add a coffered ceiling or beams to an existing room?
In most cases, yes. We'll assess your existing framing, HVAC, and electrical during a consultation to confirm what's feasible and what adjustments might be needed.
Are these beams structural, or decorative?
Typically decorative, built around and anchored to your existing structure rather than load-bearing themselves, though the anchoring and build quality still needs to be real, not just surface-applied trim.
Does my ceiling height limit what's possible?
It affects scale more than feasibility. Lower ceilings call for shallower details so the room doesn't feel closed in, we'll recommend what fits your actual space.
Can I see ceiling detail examples in person before deciding?
Yes. Our Fort Myers showroom has millwork samples staged in person, by appointment.
